LOCTITE 290 is a medium / high strength threadlocker ideal for locking pre-assembled fasteners.
LOCTITE® 290 is a liquid medium / high strength threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners. Due to its low viscosity and capillary effect, the product penetrates into threaded connections, eliminating the need for disassembly before application. The product can be cured without air between tight fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leaks due to shock and vibration. The product can also fill pores in welds, molds and powdered metals.
Ideal for locking pre-assembled fasteners such as instrumentation screws, electrical connectors and fixing screws
Can only be used on metal
It has been proven to withstand the small amount of surface contamination from industrial oils such as engine oils, anti-corrosion oils and cutting fluids.
Requires temperature to dismantle
